Author Self-Archiving Policy

The Journal of Azzaytuna University (JAZU) allows authors to archive versions of their articles according to the following policy:

Version Allowed for Archiving:

  • Authors are permitted to archive the accepted version (postprint), i.e., the peer-reviewed version that has been accepted for publication but before final formatting by the journal.
  • Archiving the final published version (publisher’s version) is not permitted without prior written permission from the journal.

Permitted Archiving Locations:

Authors may deposit their article in:

  • Institutional repositories (e.g., the author's university repository).
  • Disciplinary repositories relevant to their field.
  • Personal or academic websites (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu), provided that the final published version is not used.

Archiving Conditions:

  • The full citation of the article as published in the journal must be included.
  • A direct link to the article on the journal’s website must be provided.
  • The content must not be altered or edited after acceptance.
  • It is recommended to indicate that the archived version is a pre-publication version (if not the final published one).

Copyright:

  • Authors retain intellectual rights to the accepted version.
  • The journal retains copyright and distribution rights for the final published version.

Data Sharing Policy

The Journal of Azzaytuna University (JAZU) is committed to promoting transparency and the reuse of research data. The journal encourages authors to share the data that support the findings of their research under the following terms:

  1. Encouragement of Data Sharing: Authors are encouraged to make the original datasets used in their articles (quantitative or qualitative) publicly available through open repositories or upon request.
  2. Data Repository Options: Authors are recommended to use reputable repositories such as:
    • Institutional repositories
    • Specialized repositories (e.g., Zenodo, Figshare, Dryad)
  3. Data Access Links: A direct link to the dataset should be provided in the manuscript.
  4. Sensitive Data: If the data contain personal or sensitive information, they should be handled ethically. Authors may instead indicate availability upon request.
  5. Declaration: Authors must clearly state whether data are available or not and provide justification if data are not shared.
